Accelerate High Dosage Tutoring Initiative
Pen to Paper is glad to partner with the Accelerate High Dosage Tutoring Initiative. Students qualify for tutoring services if they score below proficient on their end-of-the-year literacy screener, score a Basic or below on the ELA LEAP, and/or have a teacher recommendation.
Benefits of partnering with Pen to Paper:
In-school tutoring allows all students to receive remediation
Provides small group and individual literacy tutoring based on the science of reading
Instruction is given by a certified teacher with years of experience
The Louisiana Department of Education financially allocates funds
Steve Carter Tutoring Program
The Louisiana Department of Education launched the Steve Carter Literacy Tutoring Program, allowing kindergarten through fifth grade students to receive free literacy tutoring after school and during the summer.
Benefits of receiving tutoring services from Pen to Paper:
Provides small group and individual literacy tutoring based on the science of reading
Instruction is given by a certified teacher with years of experience
Eligible students receive a $1000 voucher that can be used for tutoring services
In-person or online tutoring provided
